Meet the Team
Dr. Joan Williamson (DNP, APRN, FNP-BC) is a well-rounded Doctoral Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care.
Dr Joan earns her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree at Florida’s Atlantic University where she is also an adjunct professor in educating other nurse practitioners. She also attained her Doctoral Nurse Practice Degree from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, in the concentration of “Prostate Cancer and It High Mortality Rate on African American Men”.
Dr. Joan Williamson has been practicing in her field of medical interest for over 30 years. She is currently practicing in an outpatient medical office where she is employed, but she also owns her own private practice, namely Living Well Medical where she endeavors to delivers high-quality medical care to her patients.
Dr. Joan Williamson has a profound passion for her patients in ensuring that as aspects of their well-being are fully functional. Hence, she strives to embrace the ideology of prevention medicine. Dr. Williamson also focuses on weight loss programs where she assists her patients to achieve their desired weight goals implementing various weight management modalities. She is available for after 5pm Mondays through Fridays, and 9 am to 3pm on weekends.
